The current Dodge Charger has, one, been on the market since 2011, and two, been a sedan. That’s all about to change with the 2025 Dodge Charger EV coupe, set to hit the US market at the end of this year. The upcoming 2025 Dodge Charger EV returns the Charger nameplate to being a 2-door coupe, which it had been for its first five generations beginning in 1966.
Dodge dropped four photos of the upcoming 2025 Dodge Charger EV on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “No cameras or recording devices permitted. Pre-production model shown. Availability late 2024.”
Previewed by the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Electric Concept, these new photos show a vehicle that appears to stick very close to the concept’s design. Though no images of the rear were released, we see the front retains the concept’s unique front spoiler built into a light-up grille featuring Dodge’s historic Fratzog logo. If this is any indication of what the rest of the 2025 Dodge Charger EV will be like, you can expect the rest of the vehicle to closely follow the concept as well. That’s a good thing, as the concept garnered plenty of praise. The 2025 Dodge Charger EV will also be one of very few EV coupes available on the market when it launches.
The upcoming Dodge Charger will be available with both electric and gasoline-powered drivetrains. We suspect we’ll see more of the upcoming 2025 Dodge Charger EV in the near future.
