Lucid has taken the wraps off its highly anticipated next model, the Gravity SUV. Lucid already raised the bar for electric sedans with the Air and now it’s set to repeat the same success with the Gravity.

2025 Lucid Gravity

The Lucid Gravity builds on upon the Air with room for up to seven passengers. It’s exterior styling is similar to the sleek Air. Even with its taller stance and pronounced shoulders, the Gravity has a drag coefficient of less than 0.24, which is better than any other three-row SUV. The taller front end also gives room for a substantial frunk, which you can also buy a foldable seat cushion for. This means that you can open the frunk at a tailgating party or on a camping trip and have a comfortable seat. There’s even two cupholders in the frunk.

Inside the spacious interior has room for seven. The second and third rows fold flat to provide more than 112 cubic feet of cargo space. Most three-row SUVs are short on legroom in the third row, but that’s not the case with the Gravity. There’s room for two adults in the third row. The second-row seats can also slide forward to provide more space in the third-row if needed.

In front of the driver, there’s Lucid’s user interface called Clearview Cockpit, which features a curved 34-inch OLED display. Lucid was able to make some changes to the layout so that the driver will have an unobstructed view, which is also helped by the new steering wheel. The lower screen also features a landscape layout, compared to the portrait layout in the Air. The center console also features two charging pads for your phones. For rear seat entertainment, instead of offering screens, the Gravity features two trays that fold down from the front seats, similar to what you’ll find on a plane for you to mount your own devices.

2025 Lucid Gravity

Lucid wants the Gravity to be a comfortable and serene place to be with its the introduction of its Lucid Sanctuary and Lucid Spaces systems. Lucid Sanctuary is a set of experiences designed to introduce tranquility on the go or even when you’re parked at a charging station. Lucid Spaces transforms the cabin into a serene oasis, immersing drivers in a calming location like Lake Tahoe or Joshua Tree. Lucid has also teamed up with Meditopia to offer a guided meditation experience.

Under that sleek exterior, the Gravity is based on an evolution of Lucid’s 900-volt architecture. The Gravity features two electric motors, one on each axle, but Lucid has not released the horsepower specs. It only says that it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 3.5 seconds, can tow up to 6,000 pounds and has a payload capacity over 1,500 pounds.

2025 Lucid Gravity

The Gravity has a driving range over 440 miles, which is more than you’ll get with its rivals, like the Mercedes-Benz EQS or Tesla Model Y. Up to 200 miles of range can be added in a mere 15 minutes.

To provide a smooth comfortable ride for the family, the Gravity is available with the optional Zero Gravity air suspension that can automatically adjust the suspension. You can also manually change the settings to raise the Gravity when traveling off-road or lower it to maximize its efficiency.

The Lucid Gravity will enter production in late 2024 with a price tag starting under $80,000.
